WHAT IS OUR NETWORKING COMMUNITY?
The event networking community is a meeting scheduler and mobile app. You can pre-schedule meetings for DealMaker Scottsdale from both our desktop site and mobile app. To access all community features, you will want to download the event app which in addition to scheduling meetings, you will be able to send direct messages, view the event agenda, sponsors and more.
To start booking, select the Meeting Scheduler” tab on the event website or from our mobile app.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY ACCOUNT?
Upon event registration, you have the option to enroll in our event networking community. This feature will be available on our event website and from our mobile app in the “Meeting Scheduler” tab.

WHAT IS HUDDLE ROOM NETWORKING (PREVIOUSLY JUMP START NETWORKING)?
Huddle Room Networking (previously Jump Start Networking) is designated meeting space and time available from 8am - 5pm on Monday, February 10th and from 8am – 6pm on Tuesday, February 11th for both impromptu and pre-scheduled meetings. Attendees can pre-schedule meetings with their current and prospective partners via our meeting scheduler at the available huddle tables.
WHO IS IN THE EVENT COMMUNITY?
You! As well as all DealMaker Scottsdale registered attendees who opt-in to the event community.
HOW SHOULD I USE THE COMMUNITY?
The primary purpose of the community is for you to pre-schedule meetings with other attendees throughout the event.
SHOULD I ADD MY PHOTO TO MY ACCOUNT?
Yes! As you know, it is always great to put a face to a name, this will make finding other attendees easy at the event.
WHERE DO THE MEETINGS TAKE PLACE?
Meetings will take place in the Huddle Room from 8am - 5pm on Monday, February 10th and from 8am – 6pm on Tuesday, February 11th. There will be nearly 40 tables available to reserve ahead of time for your on-site meetings. You can schedule 15- and 30-minute meetings. Meetings cannot exceed 30 minutes.
There will be four Meeting Points available for you to book meetings throughout the duration of the event, from 8am - 5pm on Monday, February 10th and from 8am – 6pm on Tuesday, February 11th. The meeting point is only a place to meet, from there you can walk together to an open space nearby to speak. The meeting point locations will be indicated on the event map which you will be able to find in the app.
You will be able to select these locations when requesting a meeting. If you would like to schedule a meeting at a custom location simply select “Custom Location” meeting type and write your location of choice in the description.
HOW DO I SEND A MEETING REQUEST?
From the App:
If you’d like to meet at a designated Huddle Table or Meeting Point, click on the Location drop-down and select a table or meeting point. If there are no tables available, please select a meeting point. Alternatively, you can select "Custom Location" and write in your own location to meet elsewhere in the description of the meeting.
HOW CAN I TELL IF SOMEONE ACCEPTED MY MEETING REQUEST?
There are two ways to tell if your meeting request was accepted by the other attendee. One way is to click on the “My Schedule” tab on the website and in the event app. You will also receive an email that tells you whether the person accepted/declined the invitation. Once the meeting is accepted it will show up on your schedule in blue.
HOW CAN I TELL IF SOMEONE DECLINES MY MEETING REQUEST?
There are two ways to tell if your meeting request was declined by the other attendee. One way is to click on the “My Schedule” tab on the website and in the event app. If a meeting is declined the tentative gray meeting will be removed from your schedule. You will also receive an email that tells you if the person declined the invitation.
HOW CAN I TELL IF I HAVE A PENDING MEETING REQUEST?
If you sent the invite, a pending meeting request will appear in gray until it is approved by the other recipient.
WHAT DOES MY CALENDAR SHOW AS WHEN I HAVE A PENDING MEETING?
When you have a pending meeting request, your calendar will not be blocked at that time. You can receive multiple meeting requests for that time. Once you accept the meeting request, that time is now blocked for scheduling other meetings. We do suggest accepting or declining meetings frequently to ensure your calendar is kept up to date.
HOW CAN I TELL IF SOMEONE'S CALENDAR IS BOOKED?
You will not be able to select the time from the drop down if the person(s) you are trying to book already have a meeting at that time.
CAN I SCHEDULE A MEETING IN THE MORNING BEFORE THE EVENT?
No problem! Add the attendee you would like to meet with and the location where you would like to meet, this is a great time for you to utilize the “Custom Location” option as the event tables will not yet be open. Make sure that the attendee’s schedule is available for that time as well!
CAN I HAVE A MEETING WITH MORE THAN ONE PERSON?
Yes! The meeting scheduling feature allows for maximum of 20 participants per meeting. Please note, there are only 4 chairs per table in the Huddle Room this is to allow you to book in more participants for the larger meetings in Private Meeting Rooms.
WHAT’S A PRIVATE MEETING ROOM?
A private meeting room is a designated meeting space for our sponsors who have purchased a room. This is private space for you to host meetings throughout day 1 or day 2 of the event. If you would like to purchase a private meeting room you can email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
CAN I ADD MY MEETING TO ANOTHER CALENDAR APPLICATION?
Yes! You can add your meeting to calendars on Apple Calendar, Google, Outlook, and Yahoo. To do this, go to the meeting scheduler in the app or website and click “My Schedule”. Click on the meeting you would like to add to your calendar and select the “Add To Calendar” button. This will prompt a pop up which will allow you to select the application you would like to add the meeting to.
IF I’D RATHER MEET WITH ANOTHER ATTENDEE AWAY FROM A MEETING TABLE (I.E. A COFFEE SHOP). CAN I SCHEDULE MEETINGS LIKE THAT?
Yes! When scheduling the meeting, click on “Custom Location” from the location drop down. Then in the description please specify the exact location you would like to meet.
CAN I GO BACK AND EDIT A MEETING AFTER I’VE SENT THE INVITE? IF SO, HOW?
The easiest way to edit a meeting is to cancel the original and resend with the correct details.
CAN I HAVE AN ASSISTANT BOOK MEETINGS ON MY BEHALF?
Yes and no! There are no assistant profiles, but you are more than welcome to share your registration password with an assistant to book on your behalf. Alternatively, if the person booking for you is registered, they can schedule from their own account and write in the description or subject that they are booking on your behalf.
HOW DO I ADD MY TWITTER HANDLE TO MY PROFILE?
To add your Twitter handle to your profile you will need to modify your registration. To do this go to our website and click on “Register Now”. Once you’re on the registration page you will see a link that says “Already Registered? View or modify your existing registration”. Click on this and enter your registration log in information. From here you will be able to add your Twitter handle to the form. Make sure to complete the registration to save these details.
WHERE CAN I VIEW THE SPONSORS FOR THIS EVENT?
You can see the sponsors in two places! Click “Sponsors” in the event app navigation or visit the main page of our event website.
IS THERE A WAY THAT I CAN LOOK UP INDIVIDUALS THAT WORK FOR A SPECIFIC COMPANY?
THE TABLE I WANT TO BOOK IS BLOCKED FOR THE TIME I NEED IT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If somebody booked the meeting table you wanted, please select another huddle table or meeting point.
If all of the huddle tables are booked for the time you want to meet, select a meeting point (A, B, C, or D), or click on “Custom Location” from the location drop down and type in a new location, like coffee shop, main lobby, etc into the description.

ABOUT THE EVENT APP, ATTENDEE MOBILE
WHAT IS ATTENDEE MOBILE?
Attendee Mobile is the mobile app for DealMaker Scottsdale. The app has all the same features as the desktop site but you will also be able to send 1:1 messages to attendees through the app. Through the app you can easily connect, view event speakers and sponsors, schedule meetings with other attendees and oversee the agenda for DealMaker Scottsdale 2020.
HOW DO I ACCESS ATTENDEE MOBILE?
You can either download our app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for "Attendee Mobile" and click download.
HOW DO I ACCESS MY ATTENDEE MOBILE ACCOUNT?
Open the app on your phone and login with your registered email address and password. This is the same access as on your desktop. If you do not know your password at the event, visit the Registration Desk and we can reset it for you. If you are locked out before the event, email firstname.lastname@example.org for help!
HOW SHOULD I USE ATTENDEE MOBILE?
The primary purpose of Attendee Mobile is for you to pre-schedule meetings with other attendees during the event.
The mobile app allows you to schedule and view your meetings and more. It is the event app and here you can also find the full conference agenda, information on the attendees, sponsor information, and speaker information.

Yes! If you haven't yet added a photo, please upload one in the app. As you know, it is always great to put a face to a name, this will make finding other attendees easy at the event!
HOW DO I SEE MY SCHEDULED MEETINGS?
Click “Meeting Scheduler” in the event app. From the meeting website, click on “My Schedule”.
